Feeling compelled to make work---No excuses. Sometimes uncomfortable, like having a chop saw in the kitchen, we laugh at the obstacles that find us. This blog is our public inspiration conversation from one artist to another. For the love of all things beautiful and or brilliant. Because we are separated by miles, but only miles. xoxo, Abernathy and Kristin p.s. Artist members happily added as authors as we get going.
I think the best aspect of this is the glasses. bc it came from a passion about the glasses. when you get a specific that interests you content wise and conceptually -- it is obvious in your technique.
ReplyDeleteI think overall your technique is fab i think that you can definitely play with color. temperature etc. ( you do have a Hot area in his ear. that really punches out and shows some greatness. visually it is exciting)
you have great light coming in on the left. max that out some. exaggerate is prob what i mean.
looking really cool.
I almost see this as part of a large piece. with many windows. like the whole room will soon be disclosed. who hes looking at . whats on the table. his environment etc.
bc your technique and rendering is developing, you make me wonder conceptually. which i think is great. and the right way to paint.
go go go.
